From Baltimore, Md., NYC:

From the Baltimore beltway, follow I-70 West to Frederick, MD. Pass Hancock, MD. From the I-70 exit at Warfordsburg, travel 4 miles on Rt. 522 North to the turn at Route 643 (turn left). Travel approx. 1.3 miles and make a complete stop before turning left onto Haven Lane at the top of a hill. Follow directions below.

From Frederick, MD: Driving time, about 1 hour

From Pittsburgh, PA & points west:

Follow rt. I-70 east toward Baltimore. Take exit 168, Warfordsburg, Rt. 522 N. Travel 4 miles on Rt. 522 North to the turn at Route 643 (turn left). Travel approx. 1.3 miles and make a complete stop before turning left onto Haven Lane at the top of a hill. Follow directions below.

Once you are on Haven Lane, PLEASE DRIVE VERY SLOWLY (10mph) and pay close attention to the following directions to get to the correct place:

You will be following Haven Lane, a gravel roadway, for over one mile. You will see signs for “Farm of Peace” along the way. Disregard any “Private Property” signs posted along the roadway.

To Get to the Teaching Barn or CSA:

Turn right onto Haven Lane West. The two story yellow barn is the teaching barn. CSA operations happen in the other large barn with an open face and behind it in the garden. Parking for the teaching barn and CSA is in the small gravel lot between the two barns.

To Get to the International Peace Center:

DO NOT turn at Haven Lane West. KEEP GOING on the gravel road until you reach a fork in the road. Take the slight right and you will see a donkey sign reading “Farm of Peace.” Drive down the hill until you see a small animal shed & a sign pointing left to the International Peace Center. Turn left to get to the IPC (you will see a yellow/gold building with a dome at the end of a driveway); that is where you want to go! (If you continue down the hill to the right, you will arrive at a Farmhouse—just turn around and drive back up the hill to get to the IPC.)

Parking Note:

Please Park in the lower visitor parking area. It is best to pull as far up to the bank as possible. Visitors are welcome to drive down to the entryway of the IPC to unload/load their belonging, but we ask that you return your vehicle to the parking lot in between.

When choosing to stay on-site, we frequently have rooms available in our retreat center for farm vacation guests. Advance reservations are required (no drop-ins, please!) and a first-night deposit will be requested when you register.

The retreat center is located here on the farm and has 6 bedrooms with private baths (full tub and shower). For larger parties, we also have sleeper sofas available dorm-style, with a shared hall bathroom with spa tub, at a reduced rate when other rooms are full. Guests have the use of our gourmet kitchen (when not in use for groups) to prepare their own meals, and can also eat out nearby.

Sorry, we are not able to accept pets or service animals since we strive to maintain allergy-free rooms.
