Born in Afghanistan and having lived as a refugee in Pakistan, she received a scholarship to pursue higher education in Canada. She holds a BA in Urban Studies from the University of Toronto and an MBA in Foreign Affairs from Bay Atlantic University in Washington, DC. She is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity at the University of Sufism and is also enrolled in the University’s Advanced Sufi Healing program.
Ayesha’s professional experience spans language, education, mental health, community work, and cross-cultural communication. She has worked as a language teacher, examiner and trainer for US diplomats, language analyst, medical and court interpreter, immigration settlement worker, and mental health case manager. She has also organized and facilitated numerous workshops, conferences, and community gatherings and has served as a keynote speaker and workshop presenter for diverse audiences.
In addition to her professional and academic background, Ayesha is a certified wellness coach, yoga and mindfulness instructor, Hijama practitioner, and certified Sufi healing practitioner and teacher. She is also currently training in Peace and Conflict Resolution Mediation, further deepening her work in understanding conflict, communication, emotional dynamics, and pathways toward healing and reconciliation.
Her passion is to support individuals and communities through spiritual development, healing, self-awareness, and compassionate transformation, bringing together Sufi wisdom with practical tools for personal and interpersonal growth.
